For a customer providing industrial automation services, I am searching for a freelance Sales Manager to develop business from dormant and existing accounts while actively pursuing new prospects. Your focus will be on rekindling relationships with former customers and identifying fresh leads within the customers core industries (Food & Beverage, Oil & Gas, Life Sciences). The location of target prospects is Antwerp and Rotterdam/South Holland.
Responsibilities
- Reengage and revive relationships with dormant and former clients to unlock new business opportunities.
- Identify, target, and win new customers within life sciences, food & beverage, and oil & gas sectors.
- Build and maintain a robust Sales pipeline through research, networking, and targeted prospecting.
- Collaborate closely with technical and project teams to tailor solutions that meet client requirements.
- Deliver compelling presentations and proposals that communicate the customers unique value.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve or exceed Sales targets.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to refine Sales strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of Sales activities and forecasts in CRM systems.
Profile
- Proven track record in a hunter/business development Sales role, ideally within industrial automation or related technical fields.
- Experience working with clients in life sciences, food & beverage, or oil & gas is a benefit however technical knowledge in these fields is not necessarily required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build trust and rapport quickly.
- Self-motivated, resilient, and goal-oriented with a passion for winning new business.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
- Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
