For a global customer in Brussels, we are searching for a Enterprise Architect for a greenfield project setting up a regional IT department from scratch.
As Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for designing and driving the enterprise-wide IT architecture for the customer. You will create a pragmatic application and integration roadmap for the next 12-24 months, ensuring alignment with business objectives, operational needs, and Group standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and own the enterprise architecture vision for a newly established regional IT department
- Develop and maintain a 12-24 month application roadmap, aligned with business strategy and operational priorities
- Define and implement a robust integration layer to connect existing and future applications in a structured, scalable way
- Assess current tools, processes, and shadow IT, and rationalize them into a coherent target architecture
- Establish architecture principles, standards, and governance suitable for a growing IT organization
- Work closely with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into architectural solutions
- Support technology selection, solution design, and early implementation phases
- Contribute to building the foundations of the IT function, including documentation, processes, and ways of working
Profile
- Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect in complex or distributed environments
- Demonstrated experience setting up IT environments from scratch (greenfield projects are essential)
- Strong background in application architecture and system integration
- Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Fluency in English, French and Dutch (all 3 required)
- Builder mindset - comfortable with ambiguity and starting from a blank page
- Pragmatic and business-oriented, not overly theoretical
- Structured, autonomous, and proactive
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
