The project:
Our client in the utilities sector, is seeking an experienced Windows System Engineer to strengthen their team.
Function description:
- He/she will manage and use the TrendMicro security suite, with an important focus on managing the host-based firewall (and this extends to other operating systems)
- He/she will manage the SCCM environments
- He/she will manage the Windows Remote Desktop environments
- He/she will manage, design, harden and support the Windows server operating systems in the environments
- He/she will be part of third-level support for all these domains
- He/she must be able to write and troubleshoot complex scripts
Is this you?
- Operational experience on a senior level (!) within a Microsoft Windows Server environment is a must
- Proven knowledge of and experience with Active Directory, SCCM and TrendMicro or similar security products
- Good understanding of host-based firewall (NOT network firewall!!) and security in general is a requirement
- Proven experience in similar sized enterprises (+/- 2000 servers, 5000 users)
- Advanced knowledge about scripting (PowerShell)
- Must be able to speak and understand: French and Dutch (one must be native), English and German is a plus
- Experience with MECM, SCOM, Splunk, PRTG, Linux, ADFS, Infoblox, Big-IP F5 are a plus
- Must be a team player
- Must have planning and organizational skills
- Must be able to troubleshoot technical problems
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be customer minded
- Able to learn new products and environments quickly
- Able to write and validate processes and documentation
- Must be accountable and is NOT a 9-to-5 worker
