Data Steward - Energy Sector
A leading organisation in the energy sector is looking for a Data Steward to support the development of a reliable, sustainable, and future‑proof electricity system. In a context of energy transition, renewable integration, and grid digitalisation, high‑quality and well‑governed data plays a critical role.
Your Role
As a Data Steward, you will be part of the Data Governance team, ensuring that operational and business data within the electricity and energy domain is accurate, consistent, and well documented. You will act as a key point of contact between business, operations, and data teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and evolve the business glossary and ensure consistent data definitions
- Define, monitor, and improve data quality rules, KPIs, and data lineage
- Document operational and technical data related to energy systems and processes
- Support reporting, data validation, and issue resolution
- Collaborate closely with Operations and Domain Managers
- Promote data governance best practices across the organisation
- Support migration to new data quality and governance tools
Your Profile
- Experience in data stewardship, data governance, or data quality roles
- Background or strong affinity with the energy / electricity sector
- Hands‑on experience with SQL, Power BI, Python, or similar tools
- Analytical, proactive, and stakeholder‑oriented mindset
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a strong asset
